Neue Initiative zur Förderung von Innovation und Unternehmertum gestartet

Das Entrepreneurship-Zentrum GründES! nimmt an einem neuen Projekt teil, um Innovation und Unternehmertum zu stärken. Dabei sollen Hochschulen beim Aufbau von Innovationskapazitäten und bei der Vermittlung von Innovation und Unternehmertum auf institutioneller Ebene unterstützt werden.

Gefördert wird das Projekt wird von der HEI-Initiative „Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education“. Diese neue Initiative des Europäischen Instituts für Innovation und Technologie (EIT) zielt darauf ab, die unternehmerische und innovative Kapazität von Hochschulen zu stärken. So sollen Hochschulen unter anderem mit Fachwissen und Coaching sowie mit Finanzmitteln unterstützt werden, um sie in die Lage zu versetzen, Innovationsaktionspläne zu entwickeln, die die Bedürfnisse der einzelnen Hochschulen ergänzen.

Im Rahmen der Pilotphase fördert das EIT 23 Projekte, die seit Juli 2021 für zwei Jahre umgesetzt werden.

Das Projekt „EUAcceL“

Die Hochschule Esslingen ist neben der Hochschule München (Projektleitung), der Universität Gent (Belgien), der Edinburgh Napier University (Vereinigtes Königreich), dem FH Campus Wien (Österreich), dem Forschungszentrum der Athener Universität für Wirtschaft und Handel (Griechenland), The Edge (Bulgarien) sowie der Universität von Pisa (Italien) bei dem Projekt „EUAcceL“ dabei.

Nun haben wir auch die Chance, uns stärker international zu vernetzen. GründES! steht seit Beginn dafür, unternehmerische und innovative Fähigkeiten zu verbessern und ihr Innovationspotenzial freizusetzen. Wir wollen auch künftig unsere Vorreiterrolle stärken“, so Prof. Dr. Michael Flad, Leiter von GründES!

Ziel von „EUAcceL“ ist es, ein internationales Innovationsökosystem in Europa zu schaffen. Mit einer Vielzahl von Qualifikations-Maßnahmen sollen Innovation und eine schnelle Start-up-Entwicklung gefördert, Synergien mit anderen Innovationsnetzwerken umgesetzt und ein führendes europäisches Programm für Unternehmertum und Innovation geschaffen werden.

GründES! – Entrepreneurship-Zentrum an der Hochschule Esslingen

GründES! ist der Inkubator der Hochschule Esslingen im Herzen der deutschen Automobil- und Maschinenbaubranche. Der Fokus liegt auf technologiegetriebenen Start-ups mit sozial-ökologischer Mehrwert und der Unterstützung verantwortungsvoller Unternehmer, die Innovationen vorantreiben wollen. Neben Coaching- und Beratungsangeboten bietet GründES! auch die Entrepreneurship School Esslingen als zentrales Lehrformat an. Ergänzt wird das Angebot durch verschiedene Veranstaltungen wie das Gründergrillen oder die Start-up.Nights, an denen erfolgreiche Jung-Unternehmerinnen und -Unternehmer über ihre eigenen Erfahrungen berichten.

We are happy to announce that GründES! - Centre for Entrepreneurship at Esslingen University will be taking part in a new project called EUAcceL. The project aims to UrbanMobility.

The project will receive funding from the EIT's HEI Initiative: Innovation Capacity Building for Higher Education. This new initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) aims to boost higher education institutions' entrepreneurial and innovation capacity (HEIs).

Prof. Flad (Head of GründES!) and his GründES!-team will be working together with the following partners:

  • Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, Germany – project lead
  • Ghent University, Belgium
  • Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom
  • FH Campus Wien, Austria
  • Research Centre of Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece
  • The Edge, Bulgaria
  • University of Pisa, Italy.

Under the EIT's HEI Initiative, the project will receive funding of € 400,000 and run until December 2021, with the possibility of getting extended for 18 more months.

ABOUT THE EIT'S HEI INITIATIVE

The EIT's HEI Initiative is a key objective for the EIT as part of its new strategy, the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021−2027. The initiative aims to support higher education institutions with expertise and coaching, access to the EIT innovation ecosystem, and funding, enabling them to develop innovation action plans complementing the needs of individual higher education institutions. As part of its Pilot Phase, the initiative has provided funding to 23 projects, with the next call for proposals expected towards the end of 2021.
