Der Hochschulleitung ist heute (5. März) ein Fall eines Studenten der Hochschule Esslingen gemeldet worden, der positiv auf das Coronavirus getestet wurde.
Es handelt sich um einen jungen Mann, der für zwei Tage den Mathe-Vorkurs am Campus Flandernstraße besucht hat. Der Student befindet sich zu Hause, er ist in einem sehr stabilen Zustand.
Die Hochschulleitung steht im engen Kontakt mit dem Landesgesundheitsamt in Stuttgart. Dieses hat empfohlen, dass die Studierenden der drei Mathe-Vorkurse am Campus Flandernstraße bis auf Weiteres zu Hause bleiben. Die Schulungsräume, die Toiletten sowie die Aufzüge etc. am Campus werden gründlich desinfiziert.
Des Weiteren ermittelt das Landesgesundheitsamt derzeit die direkten Kontakte des betreffenden Studenten und geht gegebenenfalls auf diese zu.
Die Hochschulleitung hat eine „Task Force Corona“ an der Hochschule installiert, die kontinuierlich die weiteren Entwicklungen beobachtet, auswertet und gegebenenfalls weitere Schritte einleitet.

We would like to make you aware that the President's Office has today been informed of a first case of a student at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences testing positive for the Corona virus.
The person concerned is a young male student who attended 2 days of the mathematicspreparatory course on the Flandernstrasse Campus. The student is at home and is in a very stable condition.
The President's Office is in close contact with the State Health Authority in Stuttgart. It has recommended that the students on the three mathematics preparatory courses on the Flandernstrasse Campus stay at home until further notice. The rooms in which the courses were held, the toilets and lifts etc. on the campus will be thoroughly disinfected.
Furthermore, the State Health Authority is currently identifying those who came into direct contact with the student concerned and will contact them, if necessary.
We have set up a “Corona task force” at the university which is continuously monitoring further developments, evaluating them and initiating further steps where necessary.
