MechatronicsPlus (B.Eng.) - cooperative study programme with craft certificate

General Information

MechatronicsPlus (B.Eng.) - cooperative study programme with craft certificate

The cooperative study programme combines academic study and the IHK craft certificate and is thus a »smart« twin pack.

The high level of industrial relevance and significant periods of practical work are a special highlight of this option. You will work in a company and receive commensurate trainee pay for the complete duration of your programme. You are thus financially secure and have excellent prospects to gain a foothold on the career ladder on completion of your studies.

Information on admission requirements

Entry requirements:

  • German Abitur
  • Restricted university entrance qualification equivalent to the German Fachabitur
  • Outstanding applicants can also be accepted with an entitlement to study at a university of applied sciences equivalent to the German Fachhochschulreife.

To be admitted to the MechatronicsPlus programme, applicants must also be accepted by a partner company.

Application and Admission

Students who wish to be accepted on the MechtronicsPlus programme must apply to one of our partner companies for a place on the programme and an apprenticeship.

Your training company, the vocational college and Esslingen University of Applied Sciences work hand-in-hand here. You are thus able to complete the first part of your studies and obtain the IHK craft certificate in mechatronics after only 2.5 years and after a further 2.5 years you obtain your »Bachelor of Engineering« degree.

Our industrial partners are renowned companies located in and around Stuttgart, one of the main centres of the German automotive industry. Forge important links to other companies via the other students on your programme and create your own networkwhile you are still studying.
