The university sports programme is still dependent on the current corona situation and attendance courses can only take place with restrictions. The University Sports Department hopes to be able to offer the full range of courses again soon. Until then, there will continue to be an online course programme and occasional face-to-face courses, so that all students and staff can stay active and, above all, healthy.
As a student at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, you can take part in the University’s sports programme without prior experience and without registering – free of charge. You can find an overview of all training times in the weekly plan.
The sports hall and gym are located in Esslingen, in Flandernstrassse 101. The doors leading to the carpark building are open between 6:30 – 22:00. Football and basketball courts are to be found on the roof of the Flandernstrasse carpark – use them to practise your kicking and basketball skills. On the Flandernstrasse Campus, there is also a weights room open for daily, independent use. To comply with insurance regulations, all users of the weights room have to take a one-hour introductory course (always Mondays) and training is only allowed in groups of at least two people.
If you join a volleyball, football or basketball team at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, you can pit your skills against teams from other universities through the German Association of Universities. We let you know about the dates for competitions and events on the sports notice boards and on our website.
