Fees at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences

Beginning in the winter semester of 2017, the state of Baden-Württemberg introduced tuition fees for non-EU students. The fees for our MBA program are 1,200 € per semester, and international M.Eng. students pay 1,500 € per semester.

Financing your Studies: The Festo Education Fund

Festo is a family-owned business in the Neckar Valley and one of the Graduate School's valued partners in education. Festo has now begun the first company-owned education fund in Germany, geared towards the promotion of talented young, career-oriented engineers.

The Festo Education Fund covers the cost of living and tuition fees up to a total of 40,000 Euros. Repayal of this loan is based on the student's subsequent earnings, up to a specified maximum amount.

Who can qualify for the Festo Education Fund?

  1. German students and students whose first degree was completed in Germany.
  2. Students from other countries have to provide a German guarantor (private person or organisation) if they have not been living in Germany for several years.

DAAD Scholarships

The Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD) offers scholarships to a limited number of highly-qualified students. The applicant must apply for these scholarships independently, the Graduate School cannot assist them in any way. Student Public Transport Ticket

There is a student public transport ticket available at railway stations. This ticket is valid for the entire Stuttgart transit system all day, every day, including all holidays.

Health insurance

Statutory health insurance is obligatory in Germany. All students must have basic health insurance. This can be obtained in advance of arrival in Germany if required. Student residences

Renting a room in a student residence usually costs between €250 and €350 per month and must be paid by bank debit. At the beginning of their rental contract, students have to pay a caution deposit of €400. Provided that no damage has been caused, this caution deposit will be refunded at the end of the contract.

Miscellaneous

For further miscellaneous expenses such as books and learning material, food, personal care and entertainment, it is suggested that you allow yourself approximately €300-400 per month.
