Joint Degree Design Engineering Management

Four years, Two countries, One degree.
Transforming technological excellence into successful products and sustainable growth — not only from a German, but also from a Spanish perspective. The Design Engineering Management Programme is the first joint-degree programme in a technology field between Hochschule Esslingen and Universidad de Zaragoza.

This program is currently under development and subject to accreditation. Details provided on this website are preliminary and may change. Availability of the program is not guaranteed until accreditation has been successfully completed.

Planned Start Date: September 1st, 2027.

Why a Joint Degree?

Integrated curriculum: Co-designed and taught by both institutions
Single diploma: One degree certificate of both universities
Mobility: Students study at both institutions, in one group throughout the programme

  • In the first year, students remain at their home university and study in one virtual group;
  • In the second year, the students deepen their knowledge of innovation and design at Universidad de Zaragoza;
  • In the third year, they focus on management and leadership at the Campus Göppingen of Hochschule Esslingen;
  • The fourth year concludes with an internship and a bachelor’s thesis—either in Germany or in Spain, in cooperation with industry or research partners.

 

Duration: 4 Years, 8 Semesters

The degree programme is already aligned with the European Degree criteria — a new European degree that is immediately recognized throughout Europe.
