Business Information Systems (B.Eng.)

General Information

In cars, consumer products, production plants, computer networks, space stations - in a nutshell, information is being recorded, processed and communicated absolutely everywhere. The computer sciences provide us with the technologies which enable this to happen and develop solutions for the future. The IT sector enjoys very high rates of growth and the long-term careerprospects are outstanding.

In the Business Information Systems Bachelor's programme, experienced professors working in research and industry teach students everything they need to gain a successful foothold on the professional ladder. Great emphasis is placed on giving students a solid grounding in mathematics, economics and computer sciences. This broad-based training forms the basis for further specialisation. The programme’s high level of practical relevance enhances the knowledge acquired. Project work is undertaken in small groups in well-equipped laboratories. A semester of practical study shows students how industrial projects are undertaken and managed.

It is also possible to complete this programme on the “study at your own pace” support programme.

Programme participants have longer than the maximum course duration to complete the foundation courses and the core courses.
