Duties and members

Faculty Council

The Faculty Council is the decision-making body of the faculty. Its tasks include:

  • making decisions on new programme and examination regulations
  • the appointment of the Academic Affairs Committee and the Examination Board; it also decides on professorial appointment proposals
  • the Faculty Council elects the Dean, the Associate Dean and the Academic Directors
  • it makes decisions on the setting up, changes to and the closing of faculty facilities
  • the Faculty Council must moreover agree to the structural and development plans of the faculty.

Members of the Faculty Council:

  • all full-time professors
  • staff representatives
  • student representatives
