Sport at Esslingen University

University Sport at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences offers a weekly programme of games, sport and activities for all students and staff. There is something for everyone - beginners, advanced and competitive athletes. Members of the university can take part for free but have to register via the Intranet.
The weekly sport programme is supplemented with various events during the semester which are aimed primarily at having fun and networking with other students – with the emphasis naturally on the shared sporting activities.

If you have any ideas or suggestions as to how we can improve our sport, health & well-being programme, simply get in touch with Annika Pfiz at University Sport Esslingen.

This project was initiated by the German University Sports Federation (adh) in collaboration with the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK), the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) and the German National Association for Student Affairs (DWS). Over 100 universities and universities of applied sciences across Germany have now made a commitment to help elite student athletes reconcile their studies and the time-consuming demands of training and competitions. Esslingen University of Applied Sciences thus helps athletes to make it easier to balance the competing demands of their university studies and elite sport and affords them a disability compensation so they can successfully gain their degree despite the enormous demands on their time made by elite sport.
