Job application training

The Internship Office regularly offers job application training for two target groups:

1. Job application training for students looking for a place to do their internship/ semester of practical study

Topics covered:

  • Information and tips on looking for an internship  and how students can find interesting internships
  • Criteria for job application documents
  • How to write a letter of application and a CV
  • Information and suggestions for upcoming job interviews

2. Job application training for students who will soon finish their studies

Topics covered in Part 1: “From searching for a job to compiling your job application portfolio"

  • Information and tips on the current employment situation and the expected shortage of skilled workers 
  • Evaluation of job advertisements 
  • Basic rules and necessary criteria for writing informative job applications
  • Tips on compiling your “job application portfolio”

Topics covered in Part 2: “From the job interview to signing the employment contract"

  • Clarify questions regarding: How can I be well prepared for my job interview? What should I be aware of when signing an employment contract?
  • Information and tips on earnings potential 
  • Information and tips for your job interview

Praxis Café

Praxis Café

The Praxis-Café (Internship Café) takes place on a regular basis on the Flandernstrasse campus, and students can drop in and find out about current opportunities for practical placements and internships from the specialist advisers in the Internship Office.

We extend a warm welcome to anyone who is interested! We have a ready supply of tea, coffee and biscuits.

Fortbildungen für Anleiter_innen

Das Praxisamt lädt die Anleiter_innen an den Praxisstellen zu eintägigen Fortbildungen ein. Diese finden in der Regel jährlich statt. Zum einen wird ein Grundkurs für neue Anleiter_innen sowie Interessierte angeboten. Zum anderen findet ein Aufbaukurs für erfahrende Anleiter_innen und Interessierte statt.

 

!!! Der geplante Grundkurs am Montag, 30. März 2020 muss leider aufgrund der aktuellen Entwicklungen rund um den Coronavirus abgesagt werden. Wir werden Sie frühzeitig informieren, wenn ein neuer Termin feststeht.
