Presentation and Workshops

During the on-site period at Esslingen University, we will offer lectures and keynote presentations given by the participants and by professors of Esslingen University.

The participants are asked to submit their suggestions for lectures and keynote presentations in the course of the online application.

You have three options

  • simply to follow the lectures and presentations
  • to give a lecture as part of the "Studium Generale" (90 min) - see below
  • to give a keynote presentation (10-20 min), which will be followed by a workshop - see below

Lectures as part of the "Studium Generale" (90 min)

We will offer your lecture as part the "Studium Generale". Studium Generale (sometimes also called contextual studies, general studies, fundamental studies or universal studies) are mostly all non-compulsory, public courses at a university. In terms of the humanistic educational heritage, they embody the mission of the universities to promote comprehensive general education.  The Studium generale is focused on promoting both interdisciplinary dialogue and networking, especially between science and humanities. The heart of the program is a series of comprehensive talks, panel discussions, and lectures with national and international guests who join local scholars in discussing up-to-date research in their respective fields. All events are public.

Keynote presentations (max 20 min)

Your keynote presentation should deal with the topic of "Teamwork & collaboration in a university context". The presentation can be about

  • an international project
  • ways of cooperation between faculties and the International Office
  • how to work together within a team

The topic is very broad and we are open to suggestions from the participants.
