We have developed a brand new focused and effective approach to our specialised MBA by dividing the key learning areas into 3 streamlined majors:

General Management – Master key managerial skills used to handle the varied challenges faced by multinational companies, as well as learn the tools to become a successful entrepreneur.

Sustainable Production & Technology – Centred around sustainable management concepts. Learn to thoroughly assess sustainable activities and gain the tools and methods used to establish sustainable supply chains.

Digital Transformation - Examine the impact of integrated technology and smart manufacturing, on company structures and procedures. Learn how to manage digitalisation strategies in correlation with company goals.

This unique structure forms The Esslingen MBA in International Industrial Management. Alongside working closely with our entrepreneurship and start-up centre you will have the option to choose the direction of your studies in the 2nd semester.

  • Investments: Investment decision problems in corporations; Present value calculus, capital budgeting, portfolio theory, Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) and market efficiency

  • Organisational Development: Insights to the critical issues facing organisations in simultaneously managing their human resources at home and abroad. It focuses on international business strategies and discusses discussing digital implications of the core organisational development topics
  • Intercultural Leadership & Negotiations: Learn and practice the basics of intercultural competence, leadership styles and delegation tools as well as how to profit from diversity: identifying, promoting and using different life experiences, talents and know-how to produce high performance

  • Business Simulation: Derivation and development of business solutions in changing economic environment, optimization of internal processes, workflows and calculations in order to improve results

  • Sustainable Technology Management
  • Sustainability Assessment
  • Sustainable Supply Chain Management: Concept of sustainability and how this is influencing supply chain management
  • Business Simulation: Derivation and development of business solutions in changing economic environment, especially with respect to sustainability

Specialisation: Digital Transformation

Digital Management 

The module covers the following 4 courses:

  • Digital Enterprise and Information Systems: Business processes supported by the software
  • Smart Manufacturing: Knowledge of the goals, tasks, framework conditions, processes and methods of the process and factory planning with digital focus
  • Digital Change and Process Management: Chances and risks of digital transformation (“Industry 4.0”) in a production company
  • Business Simulation: Derivation and development of business solutions in changing economic environment, especially with respect to digitalisation

The module covers the following four courses:

  • Scientific Methodology and Academic Writing: Understand the basics of research methods and structure and write an academic study in a scientific manner
  • Corporate Report: Apply academic methodologies to real life problems in a company
  • Thesis: Demonstrate the ability of using appropriate scientific methods and tools
  • Colloquium: Challenges, problems and objective of the Corporate Report and Thesis, methods and tools used and strength and weaknesses and evaluation of the solutions found

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • GMAT or GRE

Experience

  • 2 years relevent work experience after obtaining graduate degree

English Language

  • Valid English language test (TOEFEL/IELTS)
  • International TOEFL score of at least 550 paper-based, 215 computer-based, 80 internet-based (our code: 1680)
  • An academic IELTS score of at least 6.5
  • OPT test 85 points
  • Cambridge Certificate (CAE or CPE)
  • We do not accept the institutional TOEFL.
  • Native English speakers and applicants who have completed their undergraduate degree entirely in English (certification from university) are exempt from the English language test.

German Language

  • Minimum level A1 upon arrival
  • Minimum level A2 before the end of the second semester

APS-Certificate:

If you received your degree in China, Vietnam, India or Mongolia, we require that you present an APS-Certificate when applying to study at the Esslingen Graduate School. You can obtain an APS-Certificate by applying for one at the German Embassy in your home country. Note that this can take some time so if this applies to you please make sure that you start the process as soon as possible.


Tuition & Fees:
