Innovation Management (M.Sc.)

General Information

What is the relationship between the sustainable economic success of a company and innovation? Learn about the close link between successful innovations and their early identification, their low-cost development and their successful marketing, in relation to products as well as processes.

As a graduate of our Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme in Innovation Management you are a future manager who is able to identify innovation potentials, design innovation processes in the company and push ahead with them. Moreover, you can evaluate and be actively involved in innovation projects, and provide goal-directed support for their economic exploitation.

In modern innovation processes, several factors are crucial for the success of an innovation: As a graduate of this programme, you are therefore able to pay equal regard to the interdisciplinary technical, economic, social and intercultural determiners.

To be accepted for the Master programme at the Faculty of Management, you require a basic knowledge of business administration and must have successfully completed your Bachelor’s or Diplom degree.

Applications for this degree programme must be submitted online via the application portal for Master programmes at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences.

The deadlines for submitting applications are

  • 15 January for the summer semester
  • 15 July for the winter semester.

Additional document: Essay

An essay of maximum three pages on the following topic must be submitted with the documents:

Subject: Draw up a Management Summary for an innovation of your choice. Include details of the description, the costing and marketing of the product/service.

The following formatting must be used for the essay:

  • Font size: 11
  • Typeface: Arial
  • Headings: bold
  • Highlighted text: in italics
  • Line spacing 1.5 lines

References must be stated as follows:

Applicants with a degree from a foreign university

Esslingen University of Applied Sciences requires a university degree gained at a foreign university to be recognised by the Center for International Students at Constance University of Applied Sciences (Studienkolleg Konstanz).
