Engineering Management (B.Eng.)

General Information

Industrial engineers are the all-rounders between the technical and business levels of a company.
With the Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering, versatile and interesting fields of application result in nearly all sectors and company sizes.

Our degree program Industrial Engineering offers a broad and well-founded range of subjects in the basic course. In the main study a profiling u.a. in the areas of sustainability, logistics and international studies. Students can choose from a range of elective courses in higher semesters, such as further mathematical subjects, entrepreneurship and language courses. You gain practical experience during a practical semester, in laboratory events and projects where you apply the theoretical knowledge in a practical way.

Studies and / or internship abroad increase your already good job prospects. The university cooperates with around 60 partner universities worldwide (Mexico, USA, China, Singapore, Finland, and many more). In order to promote the internationalization of studies, the entire 5th semester is English-language.

The Faculty of Industrial Engineering awaits you at Campus Göppingen, about 20 minutes from Esslingen. Göppingen is a city of experiences in the countryside with a diverse cultural and sporting offer. With the StudiTicket (VVS), all offers in the Greater Stuttgart area can be easily reached. Many internationally operating companies are represented here with their headquarters, which offers excellent opportunities for internships, excursions and final theses.

Highlights of our collaborations with foreign universities are the ITESM in Mexico and Tongji University (CDHAW) in China, where you also have the option of taking a double degree.

Ranked among the best
In the German national ranking of the Wirtschaftswoche journal, the Engineering Management degree programme at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences was in 10th place and thus in the Top Ten of all universities of applied sciences in Germany which offer this academic discipline.
