KEEP

KEEP stands for “Kettering Engineering Exchange Program in Automotive Engineering”. It is an attractive exchange program for students from Kettering University, one of the key-partner universities of the University of Applied Sciences, which aims at giving an overview over methods and topics in Automotive Engineering both through theory (classroom courses) and practise (laboratories, field trips to companies).

 

What are the characteristics of KEEP?

  • You join specially designed classes outside the regular study program of the University of Applied Sciences, i.e.
  • The academic calendar has been adjusted to the Kettering terms and exam periods.
  • Language of teaching is English.
  • Courses have been pre-approved for credit transfer.
  • English-speaking staff members are there to assist you.
  • You may choose 3 – 5 engineering classes out of the following list. Two mandatory classes, German language and German History & Culture, as well as orientation days at the beginning, top off the program helping you to communicate in everyday life and to get a good insight into German culture.
  • The program takes place once a year, usually starting on 1st April (i.e. during Kettering Spring Term).
  • The number of participants is limited to ensure personal contact.

How can I apply for KEEP Automotive?

KEEP Automotive is open for students who are nominated by Kettering University for the exchange program and have at least 3 semesters background in engineering (preferably Mechanical or Automotive Engineering).
