Advanced professional training

In the past years, the Faculty has been involved in developing a number of concepts for advanced professional training. These have become available as a result of cooperation with different, non-governmental partners such as Tübingen University and are generally recognised by a University certificate following a final examination.

Advanced Professional Training in Social Administration
For managers and staff interested in management working in agencies providing social care. In cooperation with the Paritätischen Bildungswerk Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Entry requirements
This advanced professional training program is intended for graduates who do not have a social sciences background, who work in agencies providing social care and either have a management function or are interested  in taking on management responsibilities. Prospective students working in management who do not have a university degree may request admission under a special entry procedure. 

Duration of training program
The training program generally begins at the beginning of January/end of February in any year; it comprises 27 study days (usually in two-day units on Fridays and Saturdays, occasionally also Thursdays and Fridays) as well as time required for completing assignments (July/August) and is normally completed at the end of September in the same year with a public thesis presentation. This examination is held in Stuttgart und Esslingen.

Specialist Training in Conflict Management and Mediation in Social Work
In cooperation with the Kompass Institut für Fortbildung und Praxisberatung Reutlingen and the Institut für Erziehungswissenschaft der Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen

300-hour training program with a university certificate on successful completion.
The program starts in November.
Duration: about 26 months.
Student fees: 4.575,-- Euros
