Kreative Werktechnik

The Sigma Coatings brand exhibition  “Colour, Finishing and Facades” in München 2010 was launched under the motto "TrendWerk". 

The motto was chosen to reflect the Sigma Coatings training centre  „TrendWerk“ in Bochum.
The name „TrendWerk“ combines the words „trend“, meaning vision and theory, and „Werk“ as a synonym for workshop ("Werkstatt") and practice.

This makes TrendWerk a communications platform for customers and for the training centre as well as being the trade fair motto for 2010.

The key themes for the trade fair exhibition in Munich are creativity, economic success and sustainability. The project with Esslingen University of Applied Sciences arose on this basis, in combination with the key statement "Colour Experience“. Sigma Coatings has already worked successfully with Esslingen University of Applied Sciences on the project „Colourful People“ at the  “Colour, Finishing and Facades” exhibition in Cologne in 2007.

6 Students from the 4th + 6th semesters of the Bachelor's degree program Colour and Coatings at Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences, were given the topic "Natural forms in decorative techniques" in the subject "Creative Handicrafts". It was their task to produce a creative piece of work on this topic.

The following products were made available to the students:  SIGMULTO Stucco matt (creative palette knife technique) and SIGMULTO Aquasphere (high quality coating material with multi-coloured effects, spatter and brush techniques). The finished work was graded by staff from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences.
