In the Bioanalysis laboratory students learn to apply bioanalytic methods to characterise proteins and nucleic acids. To do this, experiments using the following methods are carried out: isoelectric focussing (IEF), Western blotting analysis, purification of a recombinant protein by means of  affinity chromatography, setting up and carrying out an ELISA experiment, Southern hybridisation.
