Heeb inotec GmbH - HR 240

The HR 240, an infrared continuous-type furnace of Heeb Inotec GmbH, is employed for this soldering process. The circuit board moves through an oven on a conveyor belt. The soldering process can be controlled through the time a component spends at the different temperature zones. A reflow oven has four zones, one for heating up the whole board, the second is the flux activation zone, the third the reflow zone and the fourth is the cooling zone. Reflow soldering is a simple method for the serial production of circuit boards. A controlled solder application is important for a consistent soldering result. Solder paste being applied by screen printing or by means of a dispenser or soldering preforms are adapted for use in this process.

The following film of the Bosch Company presents the reflow soldering process.
