Design
Computer Aided Engineering CAE
At the Goeppingen Campus, students have access to different software packages including enough licences for electronics development:
Altium Designer integrates board- and FPGA-level system design, embedded software development for FPGA-based and discrete processors, and PCB layout within a single design environment.
Tanner Tools Software allows IC design and simulation.
- Lab View
Lab View is software from National Instruments. With Lab View, data can be collected, analysed and displayed on a graphical user interface.
Cadence produces many software programmes for electronics development and simulation. Students have access to several Allegro licences for PCB design and thick-film structuring at the Goeppingen Campus. Furthermore, enough workstations are equipped with PSpice and Orcad for circuit simulation.
In addition to the above-mentioned software packages, the Goeppingen Campus is equipped with the WSCAD5 software of WSCAD electronic GmbH. This software allows the user to design circuits for electrical installation.
Due to the variety of software packages, students of the Hochschule Esslingen can acquire broad knowledge of the different development environments.
