Welcome to our new students!

On Monday, our new Graduate School students began their studies here in Esslingen.

Head of Student Services Sara Pohl kicked off the morning, followed by Vice Dean Dr. Michael Flad, welcoming our students to the industrial and corporate, but also culturally rich city of Esslingen.

As always, it was great to have seniors there to welcome and advise our juniors. Amit Bhandare, MBA 2013 and now working in Quality Engineer Development at Magna Electronics Europe GmbH & CO. KG, shared his experience in and after his studies in Esslingen, showing students the possibilities they have and how they themselves - through their own personal motivation - can make the most of these.

Senior student Raghu Doss Mohan Doss, DDM 2018, told students about Heide's Deutschtreff, a German club run by an Esslingen resident, Heide, who provides a warm welcome and a bit of local colour for students, and helps them to learn about her language and culture.

Ulrike Brasch presented an overview of this year's culture program, with excursions to beautiful cities and interesting sites in southern Germany.

Senior students turned out en masse to help with the check-in, to counsel new students on getting bus tickets and other details of every-day life in Esslingen, and to lead them on campus tours. Many thanks to Sindhuja Sankaranarayanan, Jiacheng Sima, Lorena Zeledon, Ahmad Bilal, Oscar Martinez, Xavier Prats, and Abraham Barrera! It's always nice for new students to get peer contact and advice.

Our new students travelled here from 33 countries around the world, and for the next few weeks, they will be taking part in our intensive German course and our orientation program. A warm welcome to you all! Have a fun start, get to know one another, and enjoy the trips and excursions you are taking.
