Bachelor's degree program in Building Services, Energy and Environmental Engineering

In the Bachelor's degree program in Building Services, Energy and Environmental Engineering, your main interests will be technical and engineering questions concerning the continuous supply of energy and goods.  The focus is especially on the essential things necessary for daily life.
Core tasks include producing and transporting water - sometimes cold, sometimes hot. Water is also required in its solid or gaseous forms: then it has to be supplied as ice or steam. Similar requirements apply to air. In summer it needs to be cool, in winter, warm; but in any case, it has to be clean.  A further focus is on using electricity more efficiently using new machines and methods, perhaps also on producing it oneself. Moreover, the waste products generated by our modern society are more valuable than they may seem at first sight.  For a long time, using "waste energy", such as retrieving heat from water and air, transfer heat loss , and fermentation processes, etc. was not considered as  worthy of attention.

In this degree program you will also be concerned with questions of safety and comfort, for example, fire and sound-proofing.
All in all, this is an engineering degree for young people with a broad range of interests.
The degree program takes seven semesters overall. It is divided into a basic and a main part with electives in the following areas:

Environment, Water and Waste Water

Energy and Building Services
