The Faculty
The Faculty of Basic Sciences has 20 professors and 13 staff members.
The Faculty
The professors of the Faculty of Basic Sciences (G) teach mathematics and physics to the students of other faculties. This convention is possible according to the Universities of Applied Sciences Act (“Fachhochschulgesetz”) and has a long tradition at our university. Several professors of the Faculty of Basic Sciences belong to other faculties.
Teaching mathematics and physics to all students ensures that they all learn the same content using the same teaching methodologies. Although the course content remains uniform across many majors, the special needs of each faculty are taken into consideration. As much as possible, students with different majors take the same exams in order to achieve better objectivity.
The Faculty in the Eyes of Students
The Faculty of Basic Sciences has x professors, y staff members and z laboratories. Thus the faculty spans a three-dimensional space - in terms of staff - that is continuously subject to a momentum uncertainty whose formation has its origins in the high certainty of position of the Faculty Office, the laboratory and the lecture rooms.
Freely adapted from the Heisenberg uncertainty principle.
