Free mover program

Studying at the Hochschule Esslingen as a "Free Mover"

International students from non-partner universities get the opportunity to study for one or two semesters at Hochschule Esslingen as so-called "Free Movers."

Free Movers are visiting students from universities without bilateral exchange agreements with Hochschule Esslingen. Free Movers may choose from the lectures of undergraduate courses of studies offered by the faculties, but mainly from the faculty where they will be enrolled.
Free Movers have access to all facilities and services of Hochschule Esslingen.

Application

You may apply as a Free Mover if you have finished at least three study terms at your home universities and if you are in command of sufficient German and/ or English knowledge.

Fees

Free Movers are required to pay a service fee of 200€ per semester. This includes a full orientation program, social events as well as participation in a German language and a German history and culture course.

In addition, every student has to pay the current student union's fee. (in winter semester 2011/12: 76,85€)

Organization: Dates, choice of courses

In the winter semester lectures usually in the beginning of October. The summer semester lectures start approximately in the second week of March. Please find the exact dates in the academic calendar of Hochschule Esslingen.

Academic Supervision

After Arrival you may consult your academic supervisor from your faculty about course offerings, class schedules and all other questions related to the topic. Please note that the International Office cannot provide information about academic issues such as course contents, class schedules, etc.
After completion of the semester we will send you a Transcript of Record with ECTS-credits.
