Internet access for guests at Esslingen University

For guest of Esslingen University there are different options to get access to the Network and Internet.

If you are using Eduroam at your organisation, it should also work at Esslingen University, because all settings are the same.

If you find a note, that your Home organization take part in DFN-Roaming or BelWü-Roaming or that the VPN-access Servers have a IP-address in DFN-CASG or BelWü-CASG-network, it is assumed that these servers can also reached from Esslingen University.

Connect to the WiFi »VPN/WEB« or a black marked data outlet and start your VPN-client.

If you cannot find a note, please go on with Option #3.

This way you may not exclude themselves. Please ask your local Computer Center these questions:
• Is there a VPN-Server, which you can connect to and which is available from Internet?
• Do this Server have a static, public IP-address?
• What is this IP address?

If these questions can be answered positively, please send us the answers of your local Computer Center.

Install and try the VPN-Access of your Home organization!

Your contact person or your tutor at the University of Esslingen has to contact the computer center and request a guest account.
