eduroam
Esslingen University supports network access via eduroam in WiFi at locations 'Stadtmitte' and 'Flandernstraße' since 06/11/2009. Eduroam is also provided in Göppingen since 02/15/2010. With this eduroam is supported at all locations.
What is eduroam?
eduroam (Education Roaming) allows staff and students of participating universities and organizations WiFi internet access at all locations of participating organizations using their own username and password.

Where can I use eduroam?
• on eduroam.de the DFN (Deutsches Forschungsnetz) has compiled the participating german Universities and organizations.
Which settings do I need to use eduroam?
General:
• SSID: eduroam in infrastructure mode
• authentication: WPA2 (alternative: WPA)
• 802.1x: activated (also called »company-wide WPA(2) « or »WPA(2)+Radius«)
• encryption: AES (alternative: TKIP)
• authentication Type: TTLS
• authentication Protocol: PAP
• Username: CC-Username
• Domain: hs-esslingen.de (or blank, but then User: login@hs-esslingen.de)
• Server-certificate: validate (here you have to import the 3 certificates !)
