The Faculty of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering is situated on the Goeppingen Campus where more than 1000 students will complete their studies soon. Goeppingen is located between Stuttgart and Ulm in one of the most beautiful landscapes of Baden-Wuerttemberg, at the foot of the historical Kaiser Mountain Hohenstaufen (684 m).

The education at the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering is characterized by intensive practical training and close cooperation with industry. University laboratories, which are unique among Germany’s universities of applied sciences, make it possible to work on joint research and development projects.

International cooperation projects strongly underline the importance of the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering. Outstanding partners are the ITESM Monterrey, Mexico and Tongji University Shanghai, China.

The Goeppingen campus is called "campus of short routes" because laboratories and lecture rooms are all close together and because of the familiar atmosphere between lecturers, staff and students. Goeppingen is an attractive campus where students are offered a lot of activities outside of the lecture. For example there is the so-called "Café Campus" which is run by the students themselves, the "Campus Cinema", a fitness room including sauna as well as several groups like the orchestra and the glider pilots. In short distance you will find modern dormitories which are comparatively low in price. Here numerous rooms are offered in cooperation with the Studentenwerk Stuttgart.
