Here you can find information on the uses to which Esslingen University of Applied Sciences puts student fees
Esslingen University of Applied Sciences puts student fees to use explicitly to improve teaching and facilities for students. A proportion is deducted for administrative purposes. From the remaining net income, the faculties receive 45%; a further 25% is for staffing; 25% for centralised projects and 5% for student projects.
The amounts received by the different faculties depends on the number of students within each faculty (i.e. students who are not in a practical semester and who do not have leave of absence).
The law relating to student fees specifies that the income from student fees must be used to fulfil purposes related to study and training. At Esslingen University of Applied Sciences this requirement is ensured by the participation of students on faculty boards and in the Committee for Student Fees at the level of the university’s central administration office.
