Career
Erich Schindler is Professor of Automotive Engineering. He holds a diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
His professional career began in 1981 in the Daimler-Benz research department. Firstly he was involved in the building and testing of new vehicle simulation models and later changed to a developmental department where he was responsible for the testing and development of control and stability systems. In 1995 he was responsible for the first application of ESP for the S-Class before introduction into market.
Since 1997 he has been a Professor at the FHTE.
He also serves as a technical trainer to OEM's and suppliers in the fields of vehicle dynamics and control systems and is author/co-author of several patents related to vehicle control and stability systems.
