International affairs

International contacts and student mobility are integral components of Esslingen University’s degree programs. The International Office and  Institute for Foreign Languages help students prepare for a period abroad and support them in this endeavour.

Lively co-operations with around 60 partner universities around the world  (University co-operation projects) bring150 exchange students and up to 90 international Master’s students to Esslingen every year. Orientation weeks, German language and culture courses and intercultural workshops ensure that students become well-integrated in their degree programs and enjoy an ideal learning environment.

Three Master’s degree programs taught in the English language convey knowledge about management practices in an industrial context, in Automation Systems, Automotive Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. These degree programs are administered under the auspices of the Graduate School so as to provide an all-round service for international students.

Esslingen University of Applied Sciences is a member of  the Consortium for Chinese-German Universities of Applied Sciences (CDHAW) of the Tongji -University in Shanghai, China. In this way students can obtain a double Bachelor’s degree.
